1991 年就創刊的電玩雜誌 Game Informer 已經 33 歲，近日團隊背後的母公司 GameStop 正式宣告停刊並與玩家們道別。

根據Kotaku網站的報導，Game Informer 的員工們也是上週末的一場會議上才得知了雜誌即將停刊的消息，而他們也立刻遭到裁員、獲得一筆資遣費。
前 Game Informer 內容總監 Kyle Hilliard 也在 X（舊稱推特）上分享了這則消息，表示在 Game Informer 停刊的消息正式發布時，最新一期雜誌甚至還沒有正式完成。
Game Informer has been closed down by GameStop and the entire, incredibly talented staff (including myself) have all been laid off. A frustrating turn of events (especially considering we were about 70% done with the next issue and it was going to have a GREAT cover).

由於 Game Informer 團隊來不及完成最新一期的雜誌，於 6 月推出的第 367 期成為了 Game Informer 正式停刊前的最後一期。老牌電玩雜誌就此成為絕響。
